Case Study - a classic 1970's Ladies Peugeot Lovingly Restored to life
This Peugeot (see photo above)was kindly donated to us for our bike restoration project.
It was in a run-down state after not being used for many years. Wolf Cycle Tech's bike engineer, Paul, was asked to restore the bike to its original glory, keeping most of the original features, but to improve the gears and brake system and install a more upright riding position.
Paul wire-wooled and polished all its metal/ chrome parts, installed new brake components, a new bottom bracket , pedal arms, a 6-speed shimano twist grip gear system and re-sprayed the frame a glossy “Flambuoyant Blue”. He also installed new upright handlebars.
All other features, frame, tyres, mud guards, rack, chainguard, saddle, are original.
She now cuts a fine dash on the roads and rides smoothly and efficiently.
Do you have a classic bike you would like restored to life? Or a relative who would like their favourite bike restored for the next generation?
We can usually do this for you at less than or about the same cost of buying a new bike. And you will be able to own your own unique slice of history and be contributing to the cause of recycling (and not adding to the growing trade in imported bikes manufactured and shipped in from Taiwan at great cost to the environment).
