Choose Cycling is holding a special series of Cycling Saturdays at Four Seasons Outdoors, Green Lane, Belper every Saturday afternoon throughout July and August 2009.

- Bike safety checks and basic repairs
- Sign up for bike rides, cycle training and bike maintenance workshopsIt is a rare opportunity to try out some unusual bikes including a titanium Brompton, a 21 speed folding Birdy Tourer, a folding 9 speed Mezzo and some stylish continental bikes.

On Sunday 30th August 2009 Leicester will host a mass-participation bike ride in and around the city on traffic-free roads.
Skyride sees Sky joining with British Cycling and Leicester City Council to put the fun back into cycling this summer.
Cycle round and take in the sights of Leicester without the traffic fumes and jams.
A day for the whole family, where you'll have the chance to meet the British Élite Team, enjoy the live entertainment, take part in challenges, learn tricks and - hopefully - soak up the sunshine!

The Choose Cycling Team
- Opening of Breadsall Greenway22/11/2009 - 11:36Etc/GMT+1
The Opening Public Ride on the new Breadsall Greenway (new NCN Route 672), will take place on Sunday 22nd November.
The ride, led by the Derby Group of Sustrans Rangers, will start from The Quad in Derby Market Place at 11am and go (mostly off-road) to the current extreme end of the new path, a distance of about 3.75 miles.
There will be soup, plus hot and cold drinks available at Breadsall Station, which is about halfway along the new Greenway.
