Choose Cycling is a Cycling and Green Travel social enterprise. We create sustainable opportunities for people of all ages and abilities to enjoy travelling in healthy and environmentally friendly ways, whether cycling, walking, public transport or car-sharing.
About our work
Individuals - Cycle Training, Bike Maintenance Workshops and Bike Hire
We offer cycle training to people of all ages and abilities, including Learn to ride sessions for the beginner cyclist.
Organisations - working with organisations to create healthy workplaces and positive environmental change
We help organisations create healthy, active communities and contribute to positive environmental change by promoting walking, cycling, public transport and car-sharing.
We have expertise in Travel Plan support, Workplace Health Promotion, Branding, Marketing and Websites, Site Audits, Roadshows and BikeWeek events, Dr Bike and Bike maintenance workshops, Cycle Training, Active Travel and Personal Travel Planning schemes.
Communities - working at a local level to help create healthy and active communities.
We work closely with community organisations to set up Community Cycling Schemes. These have included Cycling for Health initiatives, Cycling in Safety events and family cycle training sessions for schools.

We are a not-for-profit social enterprise group. Any profit we do make is invested back into the organisation to help fund our community projects and campaigning work.
We are an ethical organisation and are committed to treating our staff, clients and suppliers with respect, honesty, and integrity. We are committed to minimising our impact on the environment in all our activities and have a Carbon offset policy.

- New Peak District Cycling Route20 November 2009
The Peak District National Park Authority have received funding from Cycling England to create a new route between Matlock and Buxton railway stations. According to the authority's Richard Campen, this could "[...] create both a spectacular cycling route and a realistic alternative to the car, enabling more people to make healthy choices for themselves and for the environment", For more information, please see here.
