Choose Cycling is a Cycling and Green Travel social enterprise. Our aim is to create opportunities for people of all ages and abilities to enjoy travelling in healthy and environmentally friendly ways, whether cycling, walking, public transport or car-sharing.

About our work

Individuals - Cycle Training
We offer cycle training to people of all ages and abilities in Derby and Derbyshire.

Organisations - Travel Plan support
We support organisations with the implementation of Travel Plans. A Travel Plan is a package of measures to encourage staff to use alternatives to single-occupancy car use. We have expertise in many areas of travel planning, including branding and marketing, Green Travel webpages, Cycling Site Audits, inspirational Cycling and Green Travel events (with displays, stalls, cycling try-outs, bike rides...), Cycle Training to staff, bike maintenance workshops, Borrow-a-bike schemes and Cycling Safety Forums. We also offer a Personal Travel Planning service to staff.

Communities
We work with health authorities to offer Cycling For Health schemes and with local authorities on Cycling Events and Active Travel projects.

We are a not-for-profit social enterprise group. Any profit we do make is invested back into the organisation to help fund our community projects.

We believe that promoting healthy and environmentally-friendly forms of travel has real value and can truly make a difference to individuals, communities and the environment around us.
