Choose Cycling is a not-for-profit social enterprise and community group. Our aim is to give everyone the chance to experience the joys and benefits of active travel and cycling.
We currently work in partnership with NHS Derbyshire County, Sustrans, Derbyshire County Council, Derbyshire Sport, Erewash Borough Council, North-East Derbyshire District Council and West Park Leisure Centre. We have recently received funding from NHS Derbyshire County, the BIG Lottery, the Derbyshire Community Foundation, and Rolls-Royce PLC.
Free Ilkeston Cycle Map!
We are pleased to announce the first ever cycle map of the Ilkeston area in Derbyshire. This free, full colour map gives you all the information you need to know to cycle safely and confidently around Ilkeston. Try out some fabulous traffic-free canal paths!
The Derbyshire Active Travel Challenge is back for 2011. Last year, 463 people from 23 organisations joined in. This year, we'd like to make it bigger and better with 1000 people taking part. All you have to do is walk, cycle or run, log your journeys online, and you could win prizes for taking part! Join the fun at www.activetravelchallenge.org.uk!
